UK force measurement specialist Straightpoint has launched a range of shackles that come with a built in loadcell.
Called the Loadshackle, they are available in capacities from 6t to 35t as ‘D’ shackles and 50t to 500t as bow shackles. Supplied with calibration and proof test certification the Loadshackles may be monitored from any Straightpoint read-out display. They can also be connected to a PC or laptop using Straightpoint’s Desktop Controller software package, with data logged into Microsoft Excel.
Straightpoint sales director David Ayling said: “Traditional loadcells are not always suitable for many applications, so we have developed the Loadshackles to provide a simple, off the shelf solution.” Straightpoint has also launched a range of non-indicating tension and compression loadcells, available in capacities from 2t to 1,000t.
