Three new gearboxes are available from International Transmissions Ltd. Two of them are the first in a new PS 760 modular range of power shift transmissions and the other is a new synchro-shuttle unit, called the SS700. Applications include yard cranes, telehandlers and rough terrain forklifts.

One of the PS760 models is a four speed and the other is a six speed. Both have co-axial pump drives. A shorter overall length and the option of SAE B or SAE C mountings mean the machine can have a more compact hydraulic system. The six speed model has a wider spread of gear ratios, with first gear claimed to be lowest in class, for better low speed performance. The highest gear gives a top speed of 45km/h. Maximum input torque is 800Nm and there is an option on the six speed model for an input torque of 1,000Nm.

Solenoid valves control gear changes on the PS760 and the electrical connectors are to protected to IP 69. An optional electronic control unit (ECU) improves gear change quality and allows fully automatic control. Shift protection is possible, to prevent damage caused by poor manual operation. The PS760s have a manual wet parking and emergency brake and hydraulically or spring applied clutches for four wheel drive.

Oil and filter change intervals have been increased and on-board diagnostics with the ECU improve serviceability.

As with the more sophisticated power shift models, the SS700 has a co-axial pump drive. Mounting is SAE B and input torque is 750Nm. Spring applied and hydraulically applied four wheel drive is available, controlled by a solenoid valve. Solenoid valves also control the electro-hydraulic forward/reverse shuttling.
