Like all Mantis crawler cranes, the 9010 is not only a lift crane but can also be equipped by the manufacturer to work with a variety of ground-engaging tools such as augers and pile-driving attachments. All Mantis cranes are designed with the structural strength to apply downward pressure from the telescopic boom on a variety tools and attachments. The 9010 has a very conservatively rated load chart. Its 45 US ton rating is at a full 10ft radius through 360° and it can pick-and-carry its entire load chart. Unlike rough terrain cranes, it is rated at 75% of stability. The new model features a 105ft four-section full power telescopic boom of heavy folded plate construction to withstand the rigors of side-loads, dynamic and vibratory loads commonly experienced in foundation applications, powerline erection, pipelining, and general construction. Although built heavier than rough terrain and all terrain cranes, the Mantis load chart remains strong: the crane can operate with the fully-telescoped boom lowered completely to the horizontal and still be able to lift over one ton at 100ft maximum radius. For extra reach, the Mantis 9010 can be equipped with a 30ft lattice swingaway extension and 20ft offsettable fly jib to increase maximum tip height to 159ft.
