Särö, Sweden-based sustainable construction equipment supplier Thovo AB has placed an order for five 1200 Pro machines from Tracked Carriers, plus two of the company’s new crane attachments.

Thovo AB has been the official Tracked Carriers distributor in Sweden for the last two years and is run by father and son Thomas and Fabian Voeler.

The 1200 series from Tracked Carriers is an all-round crawler carrier with a 1,200kg load capacity. At just 750mm wide it can fit through most doorways.

Guided by fully proportional remote control, the AC direct drive electric motor provides a 3km/h maximum speed and up to 45° gradeability. It is powered by maintenance-free AGM batteries.

Tracked Carriers also recently launched a crane attachment for the 1200 Pro, with a 500kg lifting capacity and 2.5m of outreach. It is available as an aftermarket attachment and only requires six bolts to fit it, taking less than ten minutes.

Ben Dobson, business development manager for Tracked Carriers, said: “We’re delighted to further strengthen our relationship with Thovo as they invest in more of our machines and become one of the first customers for our crane attachment. Thovo is a great example of how a proactive dealer can achieve success by targeting a specific market segment.”

Tracked Carriers remove the need for manual handling, reducing labour costs and increasing productivity. Their ability to transport long and bulky loads through tight spaces helps simplify installation projects.

“Tracked Carriers have been an immediate success for Thovo,” said Thomas Voeler. “It is a material handling solution that is really competitively priced, and they are excellent quality machines that always run smoothly for us. Our customers want productivity benefits as well as sustainability and Tracked Carriers delivers on both counts.”

Along with selling new and used machines and spare parts, Thovo also offers equipment rental to both businesses and private individuals.

“These machines are the perfect partner for mobile cranes working in confined spaces or areas with narrow access and this is how most of our customers are using them,” said Fabian Voeler. “The ability to carry bulky and long loads is really the key to its success. The crane attachment is also very interesting for us as it has obvious applications in growing markets such as installing heat pumps.”
